These battery operated portable tape recorders also contained a sprung driven capstan drive deigned to conserve battery life, both the capstan drive and rewind drive are wound by a removable crank handle which is located in the lid of the recorder. These machines were considered to be a Nagra rival for portable professional tape recorders, one of the few later machines which still had oxide out head arrangements, most of the professional recorders at the time were using the more popular oxide in system. A special thanks to Steven Tidbury for this lovely recorder, Steven delivered this machine to the Vintage Recorders museum by hand all the way from the Netherlands.
