I do not know much about the history of the Perfectone but I believe it was built and used before the NAGRA III. This sturdy recorder, much like the very professional Nagra, lacks the fast forward feature but has the "Pilot-Tone" control to synchronize the machine to a film camera. Battery operated (18VDC ), this machine records at 7 1/2 IPS on a maximum spool size of 5 inches.
