This machine is part of the family of the first domestic recorders produced. Brush released an earlier model to this and later came the Sound Mirror. I think the company name was changed to Thermonic productions which produced this machine. The first UK home reel to reel designed for listening to music, the recorder has 7 inch reels made out of a fiber-like plastic. More unusual is the tape itself which is made from paper.
