A nice auto reversing 6 head reel to reel produced by Philips. Using three
motors and dual capstan, this machine looks and sounds great. An interesting
feature of this machine is the timer. It is possible to set when the
recorder switches on and off for the purpose of timed recording. This
machine runs at 7 1/2, 3 3/4 and 1 7/8 IPS, and is a 4 track stereo
recorder. This is my first recorder which could take up to 10.5" reels, I
found that this model has underpowered spool motors which are not direct
drive induction motors as you would find on a ReVox but small DC motors on a
geared up Pulley and belt system.
